    Vielfältige Aufgaben

    Within the IT Trading department, we are currently looking for a Data Engineer - Data Provisioning/MLOps (Trading) to join our dynamic Data Backbone team.

    You will be an asset to our team if you have a deep understanding of data & ML platforms, data products, cloud architectures and common IT systems prevalent in European commodity trading.

    In this role your main responsibilities will be as follows: 

  • Data Product Development: Design and implement scalable data products that serve the needs of various business units while adhering to data mesh principles.

  • Data Integration: Build and maintain data pipelines that integrate disparate data sources, ensuring data is accessible and reliable.

  • Machine Learning Operations: Build and maintain production ready machine learning pipelines side by side with our data scientists.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with domain teams and clients to understand their data needs and provide solutions that enhance data discovery and usability.

  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce data quality standards, establish data quality frameworks and implementing best practices for data governance.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data products, pipelines, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data processing workflows for performance and efficiency, leveraging appropriate technologies.

  • Tooling and Technology: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and mesh architectures, recommending tools that enhance our capabilities.

    Who are we looking for?

    Someone who is determined, energetic and able to be a strong partner to our data domains and clients (model developers, data consumers, data stewards, etc.), applying best in class data solutions.

    Together with the team, you will develop data products, quality frameworks, data pipelines and offer and operate clever capabilities for ENBW Trading.

    If you have proven experience in the following areas, we should get to know each other: 

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a data mesh environment.

  • Knowledge of common data science tools, e.g. pandas, polars, scikit-learn etc.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C#.
  • Strong experience with data integration tools and ETL processes (e.g. dbt).

  • Familiarity with data storage solutions (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Snowflake, data lakes).

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data- and data-monitoring services.

  • Experience with data modelling, data warehousing, and analytics tools.

  • Experience in model development both statistical and machine learning, including MLOps.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Good English skills (mandatory), German is a plus.

  • Knowledge in Energy Trading Sector is a plus.
